Word to your Moms I came to drop BOMBS

The PAX: Yo-Yo Ma, TP (QIC), Flow Ride, Big Spur, Urkel, Big Perm, Ball Cock, Big Easy, Gas Mask, Judge Judy, Peaches, Dabo, Uncle Rico, Stones, Swanson, Chum Bucket, Diapers, Gambit, Buckeye

Conditions: 52 degrees…just about right

Warm-up:  SSH x 30, Windmills z 15, Imperial Walkers x 15, TTT x 15, Arm Circles x 15 each way

The Thang:

Mosey over to the bus loop and partner up.  All PAX teams perform BOMBS consisting of 50 burpees, 100 overhead claps, 150 merkins, 200 big boys and 250 squats.  PAX 1 executes a BOMBS exercise while PAX 2 runs a lap around the bus loop, then swap.  This continues until all BOMBS are done.  Indian run back to bball court for suicides.  PAX 1 executes a suicide while PAX 2 assume the 90/90 on the wall, then switch for two cycles.

Mosey back to the flag for 5 MOM until time expires.  Execute, 30 Freddy Mercury’s, 10 Captain Thors (1 big boy followed by 4 American hammers), 1 minute of leg lifts and then finish out with a plank until time expired.

 

This was my first Q and while it didn’t have the most fluid transition from one exercise to the next, I was glad to have been nudged to lead a session.  It is something I will do more in the future and something that I will do better now that I have a more complete understanding of time that is expected…when you just execute what’s being asked of you, it is easy to overlook.  I’ve been a part of the F3 brotherhood for just over a month now and I have to say that I wouldn’t have expected to keep it up as well as I have at this point.  In talking with Flow Ride, I came up with every excuse in the book….and I had for years before F3 was ever mentioned.  With two young little boys at home that are so full of life, I couldn’t help but to think how badly I want to be around to see them grow up and watch them become men and hopefully some day fathers so that they too can feel the joy and love that I do every single day of my life.  It finally dawned on me one day…I have no trouble waking up at 4/4:30 in the morning to head offshore fishing that consists of drinking earlier and more beer than I should, so why can’t I do it for me health.  That’s what I use to drive me now…that and the thought of my own father passing far too early.  Will I be perfect, no…will I miss days, yes…but the feeling of accomplishment that I get from finishing a workout and spending those brief moments with all of you before heading off to work will help to fuel desire/need to keep it up!  Thanks for pushing me Flow Ride and thanks to all of you for welcoming me into the low country F3 nation.
